As humans, the pursuit of change and progress is something that is innate to every one of us. Like it or not, there will always be things in life that we hope could be a little different, a little better in the way that daily situations & events turn out. It could be in the way we think, speak, or the way we handle everything from our finances to our relationships with others. We seek to become better -- and we should. As we strive to continuously exceed our potential, we rise above all previous versions of ourselves and grow stronger. In this issue, we look at some ways in which we can embrace a better self and an even better future.

The Relentless Pursuit of Improvement

It is no secret that I believe growth is the only guarantee that tomorrow will be better. It is no mystery that I think personal growth is the steppingstone to success for any leader. If you or I want to stay in front of the curve and lead others, then we must do the work that keeps us out front. We must continually improve. But as I seek to improve, there is one thing I know not to chase, and that is perfection. Perfection is a trap. Do not chase perfection as a leader - chase improvement. Make today better than yesterday so tomorrow can be better than today. The relentless pursuit of improvement will take any leader far.

You can directly reduce the envy itself, or you can at least reduce the bad choices you make as a result of envy. Here are seven strategies I use to cut envy out of my own life.

Geraldine (Administrative Executive)

We were referred to Ben when my policies lapsed. He was really honest and detailed when explaining my current policies and the gaps in my portfolio. Ben also shared what would be be a better fit according to my current financial situation. He is extremely patient, sincere and answers our queries efficiently and professionally with empathy.

Shruti (Data Specialist)

As someone who was unsure about the health insurance process as a young working adult, Ben made the whole process very seamless and easy. He was extremely patient in answering all my doubts and queries. All my discussions with him were very thorough and he is a very thoughtful person who made sure that I'm comfortable with my choices without being pushy! After engaging with multiple agents to understand the right plan for me, I decided to engage with Ben's services as he met my needs aptly. His approach was very clear and concise, and most importantly he did not try to throw multiple choices that would cloud my opinions. I absolutely recommend him as he is a great agent and truly stands out amongst many others with his stress-free and calm approach towards discussions and understanding clients' needs!

Ebenezer Chan (Doctor-In-Training)

Benjamin is someone I've known since my secondary school days & I can say that he is definitely passionate in helping others with financial planning. He ensures that we meet up at least once a year to update me on all the relevant policy changes & review my financial priorities. True to what others have feedback about him, he is patient, concise & knowledgeable in his explanation. Needless to say, I enjoy my annual review with Benjamin as it is always an informative session on my finances while catching up with an old friend.

Kristina (CEO)

Ben was such a good help to us, when we went through the whole claims process. It took him a few weeks, what took another agent months to do. So happy we changed agent and got Ben. Would highly recommend his services to others!

Seth (Student)

I’m a student with no prior knowledge about finance or investments at all, thus I was a bit unsure or “paiseh” before consulting Ben. But to my surprise, he was super enthusiastic about answering my questions (no matter how minor) and was very VERY patient with me to help me understand even the basics of investments and insurances. I’m very grateful for the advice he gave me!

Joel (Product Manager)

I bought the AIA hospital plan from Benjamin. I've known him back during our NS days. He is a down-to-earth person whom I feel comfortable entrusting the insurance planning to. Ben takes the time to patiently explain the policy coverage and does not hard-sell products that are not required based on my needs and abilities at the moment. Recommend.
